Steel Round Tube Specs: ASTM A513, type 5.
Available Finishes: Stainless, Aluminum and Hot Rolled Steel
- Uses: Mechanical uses such as shafts, axles, bushings, steering columns, vehicle framing, pipe sleeves etc.
- Know the numbers: Round Tube, electric weld and DOM is measured by the outside diameter, not the inside diameter (like our steel pipe-link to pipe page). Example:3” OD x 0.250” wall has an outside diameter of 3”, a wall thickness of 0.250” and an inside diameter of 2.5”.
- NOTE: All of the DOM material that we stock is seamless, meaning that, unlike our structural pipe and electric weld, there is not weld seem inside the material.
